Concepts emerged on the consumer scene in 1996 and immediately set the standard for consumer retail. The first store opened smack dab in the center of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA as one of the earliest shops targeting the lifestyle consumer. Twenty years later, the brand’s reach has circled the globe with international brick and mortars and immense online sales, but the website was stuck in the 90’s.

Arch Support

Shopping for sneakers can be deeply personal, and prime customer service was important to the project. To mimic the in-store experience, we boosted the retailer’s digital customer support and provided a clearcut path for users to seek assistance.

Cult Following

With 300k+ Instagram followers, Concepts is an industry leader with a wide social reach. Our challenge was to convert that following to online sales through experience and performance. Keeping in line with the brand’s social image, we kept the design sleek and to the point, ramping up the functionality, and pulled in social on the homepage to establish the reputation immediately.

Collaborative Design

Concepts International frequently collaborates with other cool brands, constantly updating inventory. The site needed to showcase recent drops and new collections in real time, keeping a fresh face. We gave new releases prime real estate on the home page and established a place to call out collaborations in the slider.
