Custom Shopify Experience

Because the client’s needs exceeded Shopify’s limitations, we explored and executed necessary workarounds offering more flexibility.

Layers of Categories

One of our biggest hurdles with Shopify was the lack of nested categories within their category system, Collections. We got creative with how to categorize, such as adding Product Type and Tags, associating all of these elements together using Shopify’s “Automatic Collections.”

Robust Registry

The shop’s most valuable tool is its registry, and the site needed to support this fully. Customers can create, find or manage baby and wedding registries online, tying into the store’s back office operations. We choose to customize a Shopify platform as the Gift Reggie app fit well with the registry requirements, and then integrated their existing registry.
