A brand new company with a long heritage, Valani is represents impeccably crafted fine jewelry made from responsibly sourced gemstones. Each product is unique and limited. We were tasked with introducing the world to the luxury brand with thought and discipline, employing a carefully designed website and ongoing marketing support.

As a new luxury product, Valani needed to emerge on the scene at the top of the market, meaning our design needed to make up for years of brand building.

Ring Shopping

Tasked with introducing a direct-to-consumer luxury product to the market, we needed to replicate the in-person experience digitally. A digital lookbook with shopping capabilities provides a deeper dive into the products, styling pieces together in editorial imagery.

The story of the brand sets it apart in the market, so emphasis was placed on layering this information throughout the online shopping experience. A digital map under About shows where each responsibly sourced gem comes from, while product-specific information regarding the process and quality of the gems can be found in each individual product page.

Buying Brand Awareness

To gain followers and reach potential customers in a targeted demographic, Valani employed the typical three-pronged approach to digital marketing: influencer outreach, organic social growth and digital advertising. After market research, we provided strict social media guidelines and a 3 month content calendar, managing 7 weekly Facebook and 5 weekly Instagram posts, in addition to bi-monthly emails. Monitoring engagement and growth, the objectives and strategy behind organic social is tweaked weekly. For paid social, we create, manage and optimize ads regularly, reporting monthly.

Luxury Shopping Online

Because of the high price point, it was crucial that the product pages streamline the shopping process while encouraging purchase. We kept the design as delicate as the jewelry for a refined, minimalistic visual experience with all necessary information above the fold. The result is a simplified UX.

While very new to the market, Valani launched with significant press coverage and influencer support. In order to capitalize on this coverage, we added a section to each PDP titled “See It Styled.” The content block includes Instagram imagery from styled shoots and influencer posts, allowing for a more informed shopping experience.
